What is the Legacy Gala?
The LEGACY GALA is an effort with an eye toward the future.
Our community faces challenges in education, talent retention, and civic leadership. Young talent leaves our community, and systemic issues persist. We aim to break this cycle by identifying emerging leaders, removing barriers to education, and providing mentorship and mentoring opportunities to our community.
The LEGACY GALA is Legacy-focused event meant to help students, young leaders, and Glynn County alumni transform our city.
The Gala Will Highlight
The Legacy Scholarship
Funded by our Legacy 100 Alumni, The Legacy Scholarship awards high school seniors with a scholarship award to go toward their education at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) or trade school. This reward will help relieve the burden of the cost of attending school and give young people an opportunity to come home and serve our community.
20 Under 20 Fellows Program
We created the ABG 20 Under 20 Fellows program to address a glaring need in Brunswick — contextualized leadership development — for emerging leaders interested in equity-driven solutions in Glynn County. The program will provide participants with mentors and cultivate critical leadership skills necessary to empower potential leaders to step up and serve in local positions.
Legacy 100 Alumni
Brunswick has produced successful men and women who are thriving nationally and internationally. The Legacy 100 Alumni is comprised of Brunswick natives interested in providing financial support for ongoing initiatives through our leadership development programming. The Legacy 100 Alumni gives Brunswick natives the opportunity to give back to the community that helped raise and develop them.

OUR THEME: SHIFTING THE TIDES
Glynn County is a coastal community nestled along the Atlantic seaboard. In our picturesque community, the ebb and flow of the tides shape the rhythm of life. But that ebb and flow also shape our progress. Beyond the serene beaches lies a community grappling with challenges, facing high and low tides not only in the ocean but in the opportunities available to its residents.
Admittedly, we have had low tide moments, where many of our citizens don’t have the same opportunities to flourish as others. But we believe in the mantra that a “rising tide lifts all ships” and know that we can work together to shift the tides in our community.
